Square sofa pillow

The filler for this pillow will be M300 synthetic winterizer. It is commonly found in fabric stores. You will need to cut squares out of it. This option for sewing a pillow is well suited for those who already have beautiful pillowcases that they don't want to sew.

Make the first two squares the size you want to see the finished product. Then, subtract a couple of centimeters on each side of the square and cut out two more pieces. In this way, each time subtracting 2 cm, make the amount of filler that is required to give the desired volume for your pillow.

Divide the prepared filler into two identical pyramids. Then flip one pyramid onto another, joining them with the tips. Pin around the perimeter and sew by hand or with a typewriter.

Make a non-removable pillow cover. Cut out two squares according to the size of the finished product from cotton fabric and thin padding polyester. Increase the seams. Fold the fabric and synthetic winterizer, sew them in small diamonds or squares. Then put the two resulting blanks on top of each other so that the cotton fabric is inside, and sew along the perimeter, leaving one side unaffected. Turn out the cover and insert the sewn squares of padding polyester into it. Sew the cover with a neat seam.

Instead of padding polyester, the resulting cover can be stuffed with padding polyester or holofiber.

Make a pillowcase. It should be removable so that it can be replaced or washed at any time. Cut out two pieces from a suitable fabric. Pick up the zipper and unfasten it. Sew it first to one side of the square, then sew to the other side, having previously marked everything. Then sew the other three sides together and turn the finished pillowcase outward.

You can decorate it as you wish. For example, if the fabric was solid, embroider the flower stem on it with thick green threads. On a piece of brightly colored felt, draw a circle with a spiral in it. Cut out the spiral with scissors. Sew the inner part of the spiral along the edge with large stitches and gather for gathering. You have a lush flower. Sew it onto the embroidered stem.

To cut the spiral, you can use a special knife, which leaves a wavy surface.

Neck cushion

Sew a candy-shaped pillow. It is convenient to use it under the neck while sitting on the sofa. Roll up the pieces of foam and sew them by hand along the long side. Measure the roller diameter and length.

Set these measurements aside on the textured fabric for a pillowcase and cut out a rectangle, adding 2cm of seams on each side. Cut out two strips of fabric of a different but suitable color. Their length is equal to the diameter of the roller, and the width is equal to its radius. Add 6 cm on one side of these strips, and 2 cm on the other side.

Fold the strips of fabric on the side of the large increase so that you can insert the cord inside. Sew the prepared strips to the large rectangle, bend the resulting structure in half along the long side and sew on a typewriter. Turn outwards. You now have a pillowcase.

Slide it over the foam roller. Insert the cords from both sides into the hem and tighten. The candy bar pillow is ready.
