In winter, children's sleds are often used as strollers. It is possible to carry a child in them for a long time only if you are sure that he will not freeze, because the baby is sitting motionless. It is better if the sled is equipped with a warm mat. And it is not at all necessary to buy such a bedding; it is quite possible to sew it yourself.

It is necessary

  • - paper or newspaper for patterns;
  • - fabric for the bedding cover (fleece, bike, flannel, artificial fur);
  • - insulation fabric for the base (batting, synthetic winterizer);
  • - ribbons or Velcro;
  • - lightning

Instructions

Step 1

Measure the sled - seat length and width, back height. Make a pattern out of paper for cutting out the details of the future bedding from the fabric. Prepare the fabric for the cover - fold the fabric right side in. Spread the pattern out on the fabric, you can pinch off. Trace the contours of the pattern and cut out the blank for the litter cover, taking into account the seam allowances. Sew the cover on 3 sides, leaving one edge open.

Step 2

Prepare the insulation base. If the base will consist of several layers, it is advisable to quilt these layers, or at least to sweep between them. Unscrew the cover to the right side. Slide the base into the case and stitch on the rest of the case. To secure the bedding on the sled, sew 6 ribbons at the corners of the product and in the middle of the long sides. Do the same with the back part - sew the cover and insert the insulation into it. Sew on the drawstrings.

Step 3

Make an additional piece to cover the legs of the child in the sled. The upper (front) part of this part should be made of bedding fabric, and the wrong side should be made of insulation fabric (ideally, artificial fur). The length of this part is equal to half the length of the seat cover, and the width is 20 centimeters more than the seat. In the lower part, which attaches to the seat part, lay 2 folds of 10 cm. Now the width at the bottom is equal to the width of the seat part. Fold the insulating parts for the legs with the right sides, sew them on 3 sides, turn them out and sew on the underside of the sled mattress. Sew in zippers on the sides (sew one part of the zipper to the mattress, and the other to the leg pocket). Now, having seated the baby in the sled, you can put his legs in a warm pocket, fastened on the sides with a zipper.
