If you suddenly have an unnecessary car camera - do not rush to throw it away. The cheese-sled, which is so popular now, can be made from it. The main thing is to find a fabric that is strong enough for the bottom, which would slide well and not tear.

It is necessary

  • Car camera (better from a truck)
  • PVC fabric for the bottom - 1 sq. M
  • aviazent or other durable fabric for the top - 1 sq. m.
  • 1mm synthetic sewing thread
  • sewing machine for heavy fabrics
  • parachute line 2 m
  • cord
  • scissors
  • knife
  • pliers
  • lighter
  • car pump

Instructions

Step 1

Draw 2 identical circles on the pieces of one and the other fabric. These will be the top and bottom of the sled. In terms of diameter, the circles are equal to the diameter of the tire plus half of its thickness. Do not forget about the seam allowance. It is 1 cm.

Step 2

Find the middle of the top circle. To do this, fold the circle in half and then in half again. Mark the middle with chalk or a knot. Unfold the circle and draw a circle with a diameter of about 30 cm. Cut a hole and sew a sling of the appropriate length along the edge. Sew 2 handles from the same sling to the edge of the sled. It doesn't matter if they are in the front and back or on the sides. The main thing is that the handles are located symmetrically. The handles are sewn to the front side.

Step 3

Fold the top and bottom right sides together. PVC fabrics have different sides. The front side is smooth, the back side is rougher. Sweep and grind the details. The seam can be reinforced with nylon tape.

Step 4

Unscrew the cover. Insert a camera into it and inflate. You need to inflate the sled in moderation. Too well inflated "cheesecake" will spring, which poses some danger when riding. If the sled is not inflated enough, it will roll poorly.
