How to sew an angel with your own hands
Before you start sewing a Christmas angel, select the material for him. You may need a small piece of white cotton fabric, white knitwear for the head, lace for decoration, white thin felt for the wings, black beads for the eyes.
Find a simple pattern on the Internet. Or do it arbitrarily. Prepare your head for the angel. From a white knit fabric, cut a circle about 15 cm in diameter. Sew around the circle with a needle and white thread. Put a synthetic winterizer in the middle and pull the circle onto the thread. Shape the hair to the angel.
Cut the white yarn into lengths of 10-15 cm. Fold in half and sew to the place where the thread was pulled. Make an angel's nose. Take a needle with white thread and form a nose by pulling the thread. Sew two black beads in place for the eyes.
Cut a cone out of the white cotton fabric for the torso. Cut off the top a bit. This will be the junction of the neck and head. Decorate a cone that will serve as a dress, lace, rhinestones, pearl beads. Fold it in half, wrong side up. Sew along the side seam. Cut a circle out of a white cloth. This will be the bottom of your torso. Sew it on. Turn the angel's torso inside out. Fill it with padding polyester.
Sew the torso together with the head. Cut out two rectangles. These will be the hands of an angel. Fold each rectangle in half lengthwise. Sew them on both sides. Do not sew on one narrow side. Fill with padding polyester, sew hands to the body in the neck area.
A small piece of lace, about 2 cm wide, gather on a thread and tighten. This is a collar for an angel. It perfectly decorates the joints of the head and handles. Cut the wings out of white felt and sew on the back of the angel.
And not only from white fabric
The angel can be sewn not only from white fabric. A toy made of pastel-colored fabric will look original: plain or with a pattern. Wings can be made not only from felt, but also beautiful lace fabric or organza. If the lace is thin, it must first be starched or treated with PVA glue. The wings can be decorated with white feathers along the edge.
