To sew toys with your own hands, it is not at all necessary to empty the shelves of fabric stores. From unnecessary scraps and pieces of felt, you can create a whole zoo in which you can settle a cute, not at all scary and very simple crocodile in execution.
Instructions
Step 1
Pick up fabric for the future crocodile. It is better to choose thick fabric or felt. Of course, crocodiles are usually made green, but nothing prevents you from coming up with more fun colors. You can even use colorful patches to make the crocodile look very festive. In addition to the main fabric, you will need small pieces of red, white and yellow to decorate the mouth and eyes.
Step 2
Redraw the patterns onto thick paper or cardboard and cut them out. Fold the fabric in half. Place the patterns on the fabric and circle them with tailor's chalk. Cut out the parts, remembering to make allowances for the seams (do not leave allowances for the teeth). Cut out two main pieces, two red for the mouth, two white for the teeth and two yellow for the eyes.
Step 3
Sew the two red parts together along a straight edge. Pin them to the main pieces and sew the upper part of the mouth and upper torso, inserting one piece of teeth. Also sew the lower part of the mouth and torso. Then sew the main parts together, leaving the holes for the stuffing.
Step 4
Now turn the workpiece right out. It will be difficult to turn the paws and tail out - use something thin for this, such as a knitting needle.
Step 5
Start stuffing the toy. First fill the paws - insert the padding in small pieces and distribute evenly inside. Then fill in the head and tail, and then the whole body. Sew up the holes you left for the stuffing with a blind stitch. Sew on the eyes. If desired, such a crocodile can be decorated with beads or beads, ribbons or appliques so that it does not look so formidable.
