Today in the store you can buy almost any costume for the New Year's holiday or theatrical performance. You can become a musketeer, a puss in boots, a tiger and even a magic fairy, but not a crocodile. For some reason, such frightening costumes are not produced. But what if, for example, your child participates in a play based on the tales of Korney Chukovsky? And there, after all, crocodiles are just teeming. DIY a costume.
It is necessary
- -cardboard box;
- -Scotch;
- -scissors;
- - a sheet of thick paper;
- -glue.
Instructions
Step 1
Make a crocodile mask from a cardboard box. Take an oblong box. It should easily fit over the child's head. Stick it with tape from the inside so that it keeps its shape regardless of your manipulations. Cut off its front wall so that the child can see in front of him (i.e., the baby's face will be visible, and the mask is put on like a hat). Cut out the teeth on the sides of the box.
Step 2
Cover the mask with paper and paint it green. Pre-paint the eyes on the sides of the box and whiten the teeth. You can do the eyes in another way. Cut a small oval out of thick paper, cut it in half, fold 1-1.5 cm and stick it on the fold on top of the mask (the location of the eyes is like a frog).
Step 3
An even simpler option for making a crocodile mask. It is made from an ordinary cap and a sheet of paper or cardboard. Fold a sheet of paper, attach it to the visor of the cap. Cut out teeth on both sides of the bottom edge of the sheet. Stick your eyes on the front of the cap. Color the mask.
Step 4
If you are not satisfied with such simple solutions to the issue, make a mask from two canisters. Take two plastic mineral water cans with a handle. Cut it lengthwise with a knife. Cut off the necks and lids from the canisters. Use scissors to cut the crocodile's teeth along the longitudinal cuts.
Step 5
Make eyes from the cut tops with caps. Glue them onto the top of the mask with Moment glue. Then take PVA glue, mix it with acrylic paints or gouache and paint the product. Make holes in the corners of the jaws with a hole punch, fasten the parts with wire or string. Make the part of the mask that will be put on the child's head out of cardboard.
Step 6
And one more very important point: do not use canisters for chemical reagents to make a mask. It's easier with clothes - let it be green clothes, sew a tail and cardboard spikes to it. It is more difficult with a mask, but still it is not as difficult to make it as it seems at first glance.
