Weaving voluminous toys from beads is an excellent tool for improving attention, perseverance, and the development of fine motor skills. In addition, by independently working on the scheme and the selection of colors, the author develops aesthetic taste and artistic skills. A striking example is weaving a beaded crocodile.

Step 1
Obtain a crocodile weaving pattern. There are a lot of them, as a rule, each author makes small changes to the scheme. The result is something completely new and different. A large number of crocodile weaving patterns are available on the biser.info website. Choose one of them where the direction of movement of the thread (in this case, the wire) will be indicated.
Step 2
Purchase the desired shades of beads (they are indicated in the diagram as a legend). As a rule, it is not possible to find a strict match. Use similar colors or completely change the scale: who's stopping you from making a pink or orange crocodile?
Step 3
Do not replace wire with thread or line. These materials are too soft to hold their shape. As a result, the crocodile will "deflate" or simply will not look like itself. Wire lengths that are too long are also inconvenient to work: they get tangled, twisted and break. The optimal length is 50-60 cm. More experienced craftsmen measure the lengths along the arm. The color of the wire must match the color of the beads. But it is allowed to use wire without colored spraying, for example, steel color. It is perceived neutrally and does not distract the eye from the toy itself.
Step 4
Typically, a diagram consists of two or more parts. Weave each one separately, picking beads on the wire in the amount indicated in the diagram. Use the technique shown in the diagram. It is read in the direction of the wire. Tighten the wire tight enough, but not too tight. With a weak tightening, it will be visible at the joints between the rows, and with too strong it can burst. Both extremes can lead to deformation of the finished beaded toy.
Step 5
Connect the woven parts of the crocodile from beads. Tuck the ends of the wire into the beaded rows by passing through the holes. Cover the toy with a thin layer of clear lacquer if necessary to increase durability.
