Pumpkin is an indispensable attribute of the Halloween holiday, giving it an unforgettable flavor. In order to decorate a room for Halloween, just a little effort and time is enough.
Choosing a pumpkin for Halloween follows the principle: the brighter the better. A rich orange or yellow color will give the decoration a very festive and funny look. The size of the pumpkin doesn't really matter, but if you don't have experience with carving, it's best to keep it large. It is better to do carving from a vegetable 4-5 days before the holiday so that the pumpkin has time to dry.
First, you need to draw the contours of the future "face" of the pumpkin and the "cap", removing which it will be possible to clean the pumpkin from the insides. This can be done with a pen or felt-tip pen. Next, you need to cut out the lid and carefully clean the inside of the pumpkin from the pulp and seeds with a sharp knife or a special spoon for carving. You do not need to throw out the cover, it will be needed in the further process.
The peeled pumpkin needs to be dried a little, and then proceed to carving out the conditional "eyes" and "mouth". This should be done with a sharp, thin knife, tilting the pumpkin at an angle of 90 degrees for the convenience and safety of the process. It is better if the cutting process takes place under good daylight.
After that, the pumpkin and its lid must be thoroughly dried for 2-3 days, and then you can insert a small wide candle or several candles inside and, covering with a lid, use it as interior decoration.
