early years

Ilya Viktorovich Sobolev was born in 1983 in Krasnoyarsk. He highly appreciated humor since childhood, loved to joke very much and was always the ringleader in any friendly company. He quickly got used to the stage, starting to perform at the local house of culture and at school events. His ability to improvise, play different characters, and delight fans with top-notch jokes was highly regarded by teachers, peers, and other viewers.

After graduating from school, Ilya Sobolev received two higher educations - technical and acting. In his student years, he joined the KVN team "Left Bank", which became the champion of the Premier League in 2003. As a result, "LB" entered the Higher League of KVN, and later it managed to reach the quarterfinals in the next playing season. A year later, the Siberian team won gold at the festival "Voting KiViN", and in 2005, "Left Bank" took another prize in the Premier League.

TV appearances

Ilya Sobolev was quickly noticed on television, and representatives of the TNT channel invited him to take part in a new humorous project "Laughter without rules." The program was a fight for the title of the best humorist with a cash prize and the opportunity to try himself in more serious projects of TNT. Sobolev joined the participants along with his longtime friend and stage partner Roman Klyachkin. This is how the "Beautiful" duet was formed, which eventually took second place.

Two years later, the "Beautiful" duet was invited to take part in the "Slaughter League" show on "TNT". In it, the so-called "gladiators", who were the winners and laureates of "Laughter without rules", fought for cash prizes. In the same project, Sobolev began performing solo under the pseudonym Uncle Vitya. Before each appearance on the stage, an aging make-up was applied to the artist, and he himself changed his voice and gait.

After the projects "Slaughter League" and "Laughter without Rules" ceased to exist, Ilya Sobolev practically did not appear on television for several years. He performed at solo humorous concerts and shows all over Russia, tried himself in various genres, including music and stand-up. In 2013, Sobolev, together with two former partners in the Slaughter League, Anton Ivanov and Alexei Smirnov (formerly known as the Cattle duet), created the comedy trio Ivanov, Smirnov, Sobolev. Trinity was invited to participate in the popular evening show Comedy Club on TNT, and they are currently its residents, appearing on stage in almost every issue.

He also managed to work as a presenter on the MTV channel and occasionally appears in entertainment shows on TNT, both personally and in the role of Uncle Viti.
