Runes in their classical sense are elements of the writing of the ancient Germans, which were in use from the 1st to the 12th century A. D. e. in the Nordic countries. After the advent of Christianity, the runes were supplanted by the Latin alphabet. The main feature of the runic alphabet is the specific order of letters, futhark. The primary names of the runes have been lost, and their modified hypothetical interpretations have come down to us.
Instructions
Step 1
The runes are also very closely associated with Scandinavian mythology, and according to legend, they were first revealed to Odin - who is the personification of the power that controls magic and the dark side of our consciousness. There is still no consensus regarding the origin and purpose of the creation of runes. There were signs of fortune-telling or writing. Since their appearance, the runes have undergone many changes, so the Elder runes (endowed with sacred meaning) and the Younger runes (used for writing) appeared. Already from the middle of the 1st century BC. e. (according to numerous facts of history) the prototype of the runes was used for fortune-telling and predictions, both for personal and public purposes. The interpretation of the runes used in ours was created by the German researcher and occultist Guido von List on the basis of the Scandinavian ones, but with the addition of another 25 (Odin's runes are the runes of "pure fate"). That is, the ancient names and meanings of the runes have been changed.
Step 2
As you know, today runes are widely used for fortune telling and magical rites, as well as in the form of talismans, amulets and tattoos. If desired, they can be made independently from any natural material (stone, wood, bone, clay, salt dough) and stored in a linen bag.
Step 3
Runes, as an element of fortune-telling, are very popular.
There are many options for their layouts: "yes-no", "past-present-future", "unfolding on the canvas", etc. You can't count everything, given that new types of layouts are constantly emerging, dictated by experience
Step 4
The interpretation takes into account not only the value of each dropped rune (direct, inverted, and mirror), but also the combination of runes. It is believed that to work with runes, you need not only deep knowledge in theory, but also innate abilities that allow you to feel the runes, talk to them without the participation of the analyzing mind. Because they are a fragile thread leading to the essence of the ancient Aryan gods. Thus, runic divination is an order of magnitude higher than the usual divination.
Step 5
Runes as a magical attribute.
Most likely, in their primitive meaning, the runes were perceived as sound, "gald" - "magic song". This kind of vibration made it possible to pass into a special state of consciousness and tune in to the perception of certain cosmic energies, which endows the power of transformation at all levels of existing reality. Magic is a volitional influence designed to change coarse matter from the level of the subtlest perception of a new reality (since the law of conservation and transformation of energy is still in effect). It turns out that the whole philosophy of magic is contained in the consciousness of the magician himself.
Step 6
Runes as talismans.
This magical property of the runes is also quite scientific. It is well known that the name and form are closely interrelated, and, to a greater extent, the form is determined by the name. Therefore, wearing amulets with sacred symbols is quite justified. You can choose a symbol at your discretion, having previously studied the meaning of each of them, realizing the possible consequences of your mistake. But it is better if you are selected by a person who is able to highlight the main direction of your destiny and correctly strengthen or correct it.
