It is necessary

  • - mirror;
  • - music;
  • - comfortable clothes.

Instructions

Step 1

Wear athletic clothing that will not restrain your movement. Stand in front of a tall mirror and play the appropriate music. Don't forget that Argentine tango is an improvisational dance. Its main elements are steps, turns, stops and decorations. It is better to learn to dance this dance right away with a partner.

Step 2

Start with the easiest steps. To do this, stand opposite each other. Legs together. Step back with your right foot, then step back with your left. The partner (man) takes a step forward with the left foot, then again forward with the right. After finishing the steps, leave your weight on one leg so that you can continue the dance.

Step 3

Vary this step. To do this, you can take one step back, and the other in place. You can do both steps on the spot, or go to the side with the second step. These are all different steps of tango. Improvise with the number, direction and sequence of steps. Feel free to experiment.

Step 4

Rehearse the beginning of the dance or Salida. To do this, stand straight, connect your feet so that the weight is on both legs. Take a step back in the direction against the line of dance. The girl steps forward with her left foot, the partner steps back with her right foot. Bring your free leg to the other leg. Next, step to the side with your right foot, bring your left foot to your right and step back with your left. The partner should step to the side with the left foot, bring the right leg to the left and step forward with the right.

Step 5

Pause your dance. This is an important part of Argentine tango. Pauses allow you to take a quick or long look at your partner and express various emotions - tenderness, anger, passion, sadness, peace, etc. In this way, you will make the dance more "lively".

Step 6

Don't forget about the various decorations you can do during your stops. Try twisting your torso slightly to the left, using your spine as an axis, then to the right, and complete the movement in a straight position. Do this twist at a different pace and a different number of times.

Step 7

Tap the floor with your toes. This movement is also one of the adornments of tango. During steps, when your free foot slides on the floor, tilt your foot and tap the floor with the toe of your shoe. Vary the power of the blow and the height to which your leg will bounce after it, but at the same time keep an eye on the hip. It shouldn't bounce.

Step 8

Rehearse a basic figure using tango turns. It's called a zigzag. You move backward, partner forward. Turn 45 degrees, step back with your right foot and turn left 90 degrees. Then take a step back left and pivot to the right 45 degrees. Pull your right leg towards you. Straighten up. The partner carries out this movement in a mirror image. In this way, at the end of the movement, you will be deployed in the same way as at the beginning.

Step 9

Practice all the movements. Do not be afraid to experiment and do not hesitate to show your emotions in dance.
