Dance is perhaps the most democratic art of all. It is available to absolutely everyone who can stand on their feet. However, in the modern world there are thousands of people who dream of learning to dance, but firmly convinced that it is "not given to them." But is it really so? Can you learn to dance without lessons, teachers and innate talent? Yes, you can. You just need to believe in yourself.
It is necessary
dance music, large mirror, sports shoes, videos of dance performances
Instructions
Step 1
Often people who have never taken dance lessons or attending discos think that in order to be able to dance, special innate abilities are needed, or at least classes with a teacher. Finding themselves among the dancing crowd, they get lost, embarrassed, do not know where to put their hands and what to do with their bodies. And they explain their awkwardness precisely by the lack of the ability to dance correctly. However, many dance teachers point out that the main problem is not ignorance of the necessary movements, but the inability to feel the rhythm and hear your body. Mechanically memorizing a few chords does not mean becoming a dancer, repetition of other people's movements will do nothing if you do not feel them.
Step 2
Therefore, the first thing you should start learning to dance with is the ability to naturally and uninhibitedly move to the music. If you are embarrassed to go to a dance club and cannot enroll in the appropriate course, it's okay - you can learn dance liberation at home. To do this, at first you will need a free space of about 2 square meters, a flat floor and a large mirror. And, of course, your favorite music, to which you want to move.
Step 3
If there is carpet on the floor, you will need to roll it up to avoid tripping over the accidental crease. It is better to wear sneakers or any other sports shoes on your feet. Going barefoot is not advisable, since it is very easy to injure the ankle joints. A large mirror is needed so that you can clearly see all your movements.
Step 4
At first, there is no need to strive to perform any particularly complex or sophisticated movements, just turn on the music and move the way you want. The body itself will tell you which movement is more suitable for a particular rhythm. Do not be embarrassed and do not criticize yourself for clumsiness, because dancing is a pleasure, not a compulsory obligation.
Step 5
When you feel that your body is accustomed to freely relax to the music, easily catches the rhythm and follows it, you can move on to studying various types of dance movements and ligaments. This can also be done perfectly at home. Today there are a huge number of videos with both dance lessons and simply with dancers' performances. Choose the style that is closest to you, turn on the recording and just dance with the hosts. You yourself will not notice how quickly and easily you will learn to reproduce the shown movements.
Step 6
As you know, any knowledge is tested by practice. Therefore, once you have mastered the first dance skills, throw away any embarrassment and go to the nearest dance club or disco. Perhaps for the first time you will feel a little uncomfortable on the dance floor surrounded by strangers, but this discomfort will pass very quickly when you make sure that the bulk of the dancers are in no way superior to your skills. But it is very easy to get a huge positive charge and learn something new here.
