Red Square is a world-famous sight of Moscow, strongly associated with the capital of Russia. That is why all the main events of the country are organized on its territory.
It is necessary
- - pencil;
- - eraser;
- - paints;
- - brushes;
- - a photograph of Red Square.
Instructions
Step 1
There are two methods commonly used by artists to depict Red Square. The first of them consists in drawing from life, the second involves the transfer of a Moscow landmark to paper from a photograph.
Step 2
If you decide to draw an area from nature, then first select the desired angle. The best option is to seize the space between the Spasskaya Tower of the Moscow Kremlin and St. Basil's Cathedral.
Step 3
Position yourself so that you can clearly see the architectural details of the buildings and structures in the field of view.
Step 4
Draw perspective with a simple pencil, taking into account the direction of the sun's rays and their effect on the formation of shadows. Mark the center point, from which you have to make a start in the future. Draw an ensemble of cathedral domes, a series of conifers along the Kremlin wall, and the main structural elements of the tower.
Step 5
Avoid strong pressure on the pencil, otherwise, when removing unnecessary lines, indentations from the lead may remain visible with the naked eye. And they, in turn, will not allow duplicating an element in the immediate vicinity of the erased one and will adversely affect the overall perception of the finished image.
Step 6
Color the resulting painting with color. Start from the sky, then move to cobblestones, then to architectural monuments. Do not rush to pounce on small details - the transition from larger to smaller should be smooth. This approach will save you from mistakes and reduce the likelihood of shortcomings to a minimum. Use dark colors carefully: if the picture turns out to be too gloomy, it will be very problematic to lighten it without sacrificing the quality of the picture.
Step 7
When transferring the image of Red Square from a photograph, you should adhere to the same rules: choose an angle, outline a perspective, draw all complex details with a simple pencil and only then move on to paints.
