To draw a bouquet of roses, you need to be able to draw one rose flower. The structure of its bud is not as simple as it seems - it combines strict geometry and wayward flowing lines. When drawing a rose, pay attention to both features of the flower.
It is necessary
A sheet of paper, a simple pencil, an eraser
Instructions
Step 1
Place the sheet of paper vertically. Using a simple pencil, sketch, compose the picture. Place a vase or basket at the bottom of the sheet. You can also skip the flower container altogether. Mark the heads of the flowers with circles. Draw lines from each of them (future stems) and collect them together. Sketch in light strokes without pressing hard on the pencil. If the line seems wrong to you, do not rush to erase it. It is better to sketch out a few options and then gently erase the excess with an eraser.
Step 2
Now deal directly with the flower heads. Draw a small “crown” above the circle - the height of the rose petals. Then gradually begin to turn the blank into a flower, painting the petals. Start at the bottom, grab the edges, and gradually work your way into the center, rounding the petals around it. Then draw a sepal under the flower (thin leaves at the bottom at the base of the flower).
Step 3
Draw the stems. They will be thinner at the base than at the end. Do not forget about the thorns and leaves of the rose, which are pointed in shape. Draw a small stalk from the stem, from which two or three leaves extend. The edge of the leaves is slightly serrated, but if the leaves are small, then the edges may not be drawn.
Step 4
Next, apply the initial shading of the shadow, determining which side you will have the light on. Flowers need to be hatched with neat lines in the shape of petals, and the same should be done with leaves. When you finish shading, then with a sharp corner of an eraser (for this you can cut it with scissors), you can draw veins on the leaves and petals. Then underline these veins with a sharpened pencil, this will give the effect of volume and naturalness to your drawing.
