Step 2
What is the secret of this trick? In using your own coin, on one side of which (for example, on the "eagle") a small notch has been previously made from the edge so that a small tooth or piece of metal is put forward in this place.

If your coin rolls across the table and falls with a notch up, it will ring just like a regular coin, with a continuous ringing sound. This characteristic sound will get weaker and weaker until it stops altogether. And if the coin falls with a notch down, then the friction of the protruding clove on the table will halve the amount of time this sound will sound, and at the end it may stop and you will hear the sound of a coin knocking.

This characteristic sound difference is almost noticeable to those present, but quite perceptible to the attentive ear. So, if you made a notch on the side of the "heads", and the coin, when it falls, sounds stronger, then the "tails" fell, and if weaker - "heads".

For a trick other than a coin, you need three cups. You cover a regular coin with one of these cups, which you then swap several times. The trick is that you can easily tell which of the three cups the coin is under. The secret of focus is very simple. You glue a long hair to the coin in advance. And when you cover the coin with one of the three cups, you can move them as you like. At the same time, at any time you can say for sure which of these cups the coin is under. All you have to do is see which cup the hair is under to determine where the coin is.
