Backing track is a convenient type of music track that allows you to practice vocal exercises, sing karaoke, prepare a variety of shows and musical performances. Nevertheless, it is not always possible to find a suitable backing track on the Internet, and a person thinks about how to independently extract a voice part from a melody. In this article we will talk about how to separate vocals from the phonogram as high as possible in order to get only a melodic composition. To do this, you need a universal program for working with sound Adobe Audition.
Instructions
Step 1
Copy the desired track several times in the folder, naming the four copies differently - original, bass, treble and mid.
Step 2
Download Adobe Audition, launch the program and open four copies of your music composition in it. Then select the original track by displaying its sound wave.
Step 3
Click on the selected wave from the beginning to the end with the right mouse button, find in the drop-down menu the section "Filters" and its subsection "Extracting the central channel". The window for editing the parameters of the center sound channel will open.
Step 4
In the “Center channel level” line, adjust the channel volume slider by moving it to the right and left, and then in the “Discrimination settings” line, set the value of the cut width.
Step 5
Press Preview from time to time to track your changes and tweak the settings until you are happy with the listening experience. Click OK.
Step 6
Open the track with low frequencies and again right-click on the highlighted sound wave. Select the "Scientific Filters" section in the menu and select the "Butterward" tab in the window that opens.
Step 7
The cutoff frequency should be 800Hz. Just like last time, you can track the changes by listening to them with the "View" button.
Step 8
Likewise, adjust the treble and mid frequencies in the track by setting the Bandwidth section to 800-6000Hz and cutting out the center channels in all remaining tracks.
Step 9
Achieve such an effect in extracting a vocal part from a phonogram so that the voice disappears by itself, without losing the quality of instrumental and melodic parts.
Step 10
Now all you have to do is create a multitrack out of four frequency-edited tracks. To do this, place all the tracks one above the other in the working window, click Play to listen and check, and if everything suits you and you do not need to edit the equalizer, save the multitrack to one common audio file on your computer.
