For someone who sings with a guitar or performs pop music, life is much more difficult: often you have to play while standing, and the guitar must be fixed somehow. Bards sometimes get by with a chair - one leg is placed on it, and thus a support for the instrument is created. If you are tall, you can even put the chair back to you and throw your leg over the back so that it rests on the lower part of the thigh. Most performers require a belt or harness.

Step 1
You can simply buy a guitar strap at a music store. As a rule, a purchased belt has a loop on one side and something like a pair of leather laces on the other. Examine the guitar. It should have a small "button" on the resonator. Slip this button into the loop on the belt.

The second part of the belt can be secured in two ways. You can simply thread it through the headstock hole and tie it to it. The main thing in this case is that the belt does not interfere with the tightening of the third or fourth peg. You can do it differently. Put one of the laces under the neck from the side of the outlet. Pull the lace under the bar to the heel, then tie the ends of both laces. If the other end of the strap is not laces, but a metal or plastic hook, you just need to hook it to the bottom of the socket.

The belt can be made by yourself. To do this, you need a piece of corsage tape or parachute line, a small lace, a carabiner and a metal hook. Measure a piece of line so that the guitar can be positioned in a comfortable position for you. It is better to cut off a longer piece first, then you can adjust it. Burn the edges. At one end of the sling, burn the loop with a soldering iron or burner. Sew a small carabiner to the other end. To use such a strap, cut a piece of the cord, slide it under the neck from the outlet side, and sew it into the ring so that it wraps around the top of the heel of the neck. Hook a carabiner onto this ring.
Step 4
You can also make a very simple version of the belt, which will only cling to one point. For him, too, you need a parachute line or a fairly dense braid. Measure the approximate distance from your seventh vertebra to your navel, add to this the thickness of your guitar and the distance from the top shell to the edge of the socket. Multiply all of this by two and add another ten centimeters for various contingencies. Burn the edges and sew together. Sew a crystal hook or carabiner to the connection. In this case, the strap is put on over the head, and the hook clings to the bottom edge of the socket.
