In the summer, all gardeners and gardeners have more worries. Indeed, in order to reap the harvest, you must first save it from birds that, like robbers, peck at the fruits of your labor. To protect the harvest, you can make a scarecrow for the garden yourself, or even better with your children, since this is an exciting activity. What should it be? Step 1
The scarecrow should resemble a human figure, so the skeleton will be its basis. Take a few wooden sticks (metal rods, fittings, old water pipes are also suitable) and lay them out in the shape of a cross, and then tie tightly with a rope or wire the place where one stick is placed on top of another - this will be the body and arms (if you wish, you can tie and legs).
Step 2
Surely there are old things in your house - pants, shirt or T-shirt, which you no longer wear, they are very well suited for the "wardrobe" of the scarecrow - he is not a proud guy, he will wear nothing new.
Step 3
First, put things on the skeleton, tie the neck, sleeves and legs with a rope, and then stuff them with straw, hay or some kind of cotton wool, you can use the mineral used in construction. The main thing is that the filler is light. Tie the padded pants at the waist and the shirt at the bottom.
Step 4
For the head, sew a pillowcase-type bag, but always round. For it, use a light, plain fabric that resembles human skin in color. It should also be filled with straw or other filler. Children can be invited to draw a scarecrow's face with a marker, they will surely like it.
Step 5
Place the head on top of the skeleton and tie the pouch at the bottom. If you have an old hat, wear it over the scarecrow to complete the look. To keep the hat in place, cover it from the inside with glue or any silicone, for example, construction.
Step 6
You can make a scarecrow for the garden in the form of a female figure, replacing men's clothes with women's ones, then you don't need to fill the bottom of the clothes with filler, let its skirt develop in the wind.
Step 7
In order for your scarecrow to make some sounds, you can tie several cans to it.
Step 8
Well, the scarecrow is ready! You should not be like Pygmalion, admiring your creation for a long time, carry it quickly to the garden until the feathered robbers have time to destroy your crop.
