Phalaenopsis orchid is becoming more and more popular among indoor plant lovers. Phalaenopsis blooms gorgeous, and most importantly does not require special care!
Buying a flower. The blooming Phalaenopsis orchid can be purchased at many flower shops and garden centers. However, there is a high probability of overpaying for the plant. You can buy a flower for a lower price in such large shopping centers as IKEA. You should buy a half-blooming orchid, with swollen buds. Do not be afraid that at home the flowers will immediately disappear or wither, since the flowering period of the phalaenopsis orchid is about six months.
Adaptation. After the flower is brought home, the best thing to do for it is to leave it alone on the windowsill. Phalaenopsis orchid will feel great, both on the sunny side and in the shade. You should not transplant the plant into another pot for six months. Also, at first, the orchid should not be placed in a closed planter, light should fall on its roots.
Watering and humidity. The orchid should be watered once a week. However, the orchid loves humid air, for this you can put a bowl of water next to the plant or make wet drainage for the flower. To do this, you need to pour drainage into the pan, moisten it abundantly with water, and put a pot with a flower on top, but so that its roots do not touch the water.
