Do-it-yourself items are unique. When making handmade knitwear, knitters use different patterns and methods of knitting them. Motifs from "braids", "curly" elastic bands, patterns from crossed loops look original.
Instructions
Step 1
There are several names for the crossed facial. You can find descriptions of grandmother's, English loops - all of them are directly related to the crossed facial. Do not knit with crossed front and back rows, it can skew, especially if you knit crossed and front and back rows.
Step 2
Please note that if one crossed loop appears on the canvas of the classic front surface due to inattention, it will have to be dissolved. Despite the almost identical name and method of knitting, the type of the crossed facial is different.
Step 3
Cast on the needles the required number of loops. Put the thread on the index finger of your left hand, press it with your little finger. Knit the hem as usual, in the next loop, insert the tip of the knitting needle from right to left. Pull the thread into the loop, leave it on the right side, remove the loop from the left knitting needle.
Step 4
Run the purl row with the classic purl, knit all front rows with crossed front rows. The positive quality of such knitting is the formation of a denser fabric in comparison with the classic front satin stitch.
Step 5
Front loops can be crossed from left to right. In this case, two loops are involved. First knit the second stitch with the crossed front, then the first stitch. Remove the stitches from the left knitting needle, and leave them on the right side.
Step 6
Use the technique for a honeycomb or puff pattern. Alternate crossed loops with classic knit loops. The motif looks great on mittens, gloves and hats. You can use it to make elastic bands on socks, alternate loops crossed from left to right with purl loops, make original sweaters. Alternate the number of crossed and classic front loops at your discretion.
