Fishing is a hobby of many men, and every fisherman knows that a successful catch can only be obtained with the right equipment. Some types of fish require a special leash, and depending on the type of fish you want to catch, the leash can be different. It can be purchased at a fishing store, or it can be handcrafted.
Instructions
Step 1
Use "metallic silk" material to create a leash - strong metal thread will withstand even heavy fish, thanks to the dense weaving of steel fibers. Purchase a couple of packages of such material with a diameter of 0, 128 mm (# 0, 6). You may also need thicker leash material.
Step 2
Check the material for strength - bend the metal line, test it for breaking, twist it, try to break it in half. Hang a heavy load on the line and check if it can withstand a weight of 2-3 kilograms.
Step 3
After all the checks, proceed to the installation of the leash using crimping tubes with a diameter of 0.5 mm.
Step 4
First, shorten the tubes, cut them in the middle and break them. Work over the cracks, trim the ends of the tubes and sand them, then expand the hole with a needle. Use sharp scissors to cut the metal line to the desired length, and then insert the end of the line into the tube so that a double loop forms inside. Pull up the loop and tighten it.
Step 5
Take a crimping tool - such as a pair of pliers - and squeeze the tube in several places, locking the loop inside it. Cut off the protruding ends and put a thin wire fastener into one loop.
Step 6
Your leash is ready. With such a leash, you can fish any fish - up to pike, the weight of which this leash must support the same as the weight of any other fish. Additionally, you can equip the leash with a swivel if necessary.
