The word "Tablature" has a rather simple and laconic name in the people - "tabs". Based on the principle of tablature work, programmers have created the Gitar Pro program, which allows not only to read information, but also to see how it is played, how long each note has. But first things first.
Step 2
So, looking at a sheet covered with tabs, we learn to understand what's what. First of all, we pay attention to the fact that six parallel lines go from left to right. These lines represent the strings of the guitar (if a 4-string bass is used, there will be only 4 lines). But it is very important to pay attention to the fact that the topmost line in the tabs denotes the thinnest string, that is, the first one from the bottom. Therefore, the lowest string will represent the sixth string, which is the thickest.
Step 3
Okay, the strings and positioning seem to be sorted out a bit. Now pay attention to the numbers that are located on these lines-strings. Each number indicates the fret number on which you should clamp the string on which this number is located. By the way, there is the number “8” on the fourth string. This means that the fourth string must be clamped at the eighth fret.
Step 4
It is also worth considering that the numbers will be on different strings. And when studying the tabs, one should not forget that, as in the book, everything is read from left to right, therefore, the leftmost digit, whatever it may be, will be the very first. And it doesn't matter which strings the numbers are on. The standard reading rule must be strictly followed. If there are several numbers at once, one below the other, then this means that you need to touch the marked strings at these frets.
