Robert Samuel Fields is an American film actor of the mid-20th century who became famous for playing Daniel in the 1987 dramatic film Anna. Member of the Actors Studio, a professional organization of actors, directors and playwrights based in New York, USA.

Robert Fields was born on July 9, 1938 in Brooklyn, Massachusetts, USA. Father is a restaurateur, mother is a housewife.
Fields was educated at Carnegie Mellon University and the Neighborhood Theater Studio.

Career
For the first time on the silver screen, Robert Fields appeared in 1958 in the science fiction horror film The Blob in 1958. In the role of Tony Gresset, Robert Fields made his debut as an actor. Personal life
In the early 1980s, Robert began dating Betty-Jane Robbins, who was the director of marketing for the Harcourt Brace Jovanovich book company in San Diego. She then held a similar position at Fairview Country Club in Greenwich, Connecticut, USA.
On June 26, 1983, the couple got married according to Jewish tradition. Svalba was performed by the famous US rabbi Leonard H. Poller.
American actor Steve McQueen, who co-starred with Robert in The Blob, became a close friend to Fields, and then a family friend to the Fields and Robbins.
