Success in the profession of an artist is not to play, but to live, that is, to portray oneself. Russian actor Sergei Chonishvili, a charming man and a talented performer of many roles, adheres to this principle in his work. Behind him not only dozens of roles in famous films and stage productions, but also many novels, some of which ended in marriage.
This purposeful person is busy almost around the clock. He plays in the theater, and constantly participates in new projects on film sets in films and TV shows, and is engaged in voice acting. And this is not because he seeks to make a lot of money. The actor jokes that if he wanted to enrich himself, he would have left art long ago and took up the oil and gas industry or would have gone to work as an official. But no, he indulged his creative ambitions all his life and wanted only one thing - recognition and fame in the career of an actor.
Biography
Was born in 1965 in the city of Tula. His parents were creative personalities, which served as the foundation for the formation of the boy's interests in life. Father Nozheri Chonishvili was a People's Artist of the USSR, and the House of Actor in Omsk was posthumously named in his honor. Mom Valeria Prokop was also a People's Artist of Russia.
The child spent his early years behind the scenes. However, he never dreamed of becoming an actor. When asked what he wants to become, he firmly answered: an oceanologist. He chose the famous French explorer Jacques-Yves Cousteau as an example to follow. During his school years, the boy was sent to a music school, and he brilliantly mastered the piano. It was there that the seed of love for jazz was born in him.
By the time of graduation, it became obvious that the creative genes of the parents had won. Sergei submitted documents to the Theater School. Shchukin. Such famous personalities as Yuri Avsharov and Alexander Shirvindt were engaged in its formation, there were also lessons from Yuri Katina-Yartsev.
Creative way
Since 1986, the actor got a job at Lenkom, where he began with extras and secondary roles. Chonishvili's creative search for himself continued on the theatrical stage of Oleg Tabakov. Also, the actor had a chance to play in the theater named after A. Chekhov. There were many performances in different theaters, but the main thing for Sergei was his native "Lenkom", which gave him the best roles in the performances "Dictatorship of Conscience", "Juno and Avos", as well as "Mystification". For some performances, he was even awarded theater prizes.
Chonishvili received the Honored Artist of our country in 1999.
As in the theater, in the cinema the actor was offered only to participate in the episodes. A large role fell to him in 1995 in the series "Petersburg secrets". It was an incredible success for both the show and the performer!
After that, the demand for Sergei as a movie actor seemed to freeze. He was not invited to the main roles, but he did not despair. And I decided to do dubbing.
The heroes of many films and cartoons spoke in his voice. With his hard work, Sergei Chonishvili has achieved the title of the most famous voice actor in Russia (several dozen voice roles), he is even compared to the baritone of Yuri Levitan, who was popular in the last century. Moreover, it is his velvety timbre that is the official voice of the STS channel. By the way, many heroes of computer games are endowed with an actor's dialect.
Chonishvili's amazing, rich voice can be heard in the dubbing of dozens of artistic audiobooks.
Soon, from the 2000s, the main roles in films also went. First there was Ippolit Zurov in the detective story "Azazel" (Adabashyan). Then the paintings "Goodbye, Doctor Freud" and "Shifted", followed by the main roles in "Bride to Order" and "New Year's Romance".
And his image of a hero-lover simply slaughtered women. As such, he appeared in the TV series "Girlfriend of a Special Purpose", in the melodrama "Lovers". After that there was a melodrama "You can't enter the same river twice" and others. Chonishvili's filmography includes more than five dozen works in different genres - from melodrama and drama to ironic detective and crime series.
Actor's wife
There are many rumors about the personal life of the loving Sergei Nozherievich. Rumor has it that his personal life is incredibly stormy. But Chonishvili officially married and divorced only once.
The first wife absolutely gave birth to two common daughters with Sergei - these are Anna and Alexandra. However, the relationship with his wife did not work out, since he was constantly busy on the stage of the theater and in the cinema, and, according to him, love is a living sprout that requires attention, strength and a lot of time.
Chonishvili had three common-law wives. But in principle he does not divulge the names and does not let anyone into his personal life. In one of the recent shows “Alone with everyone,” Sergei Nozherievich openly shared his creative plans, talked about his last roles, about his love for silence, about the fact that he sleeps on the floor and knows how to cook deliciously. But as soon as you ask him a personal question, he cuts off all the answers - no comments. True, he made a reservation that he still has not two daughters, but more.
His words: "I am a terrible egoist and I think that not every person who just wants to know something about me has the right to do so."
Famous novel
Yet rumors have leaked to the media. The name of one of Sergey's potential brides is Elizaveta Boyarskaya.
Sergei became Lisa's first big love, but they still parted. They had the most common office romance that broke out on the set. What stopped Chonishvili from a marriage proposal? Probably inequality in age and material status (the Boyarsky family has a profitable business in St. Petersburg). Still, Sergei has repeatedly mentioned Lisa as a bride. By the way, Boyarskaya's father does not want to hear either the name of Sergei or talk about him, writes Komsomolskaya Pravda.
Journalists often try to find out from the actor about his personal. But in response to such questions, he retorts with a smile: “What was your chair this morning? And how do your kidneys work?"
