Homemade boats are a favorite toy of many children, which cannot be replaced by computer games and TV shows. Today, not only children are engaged in the manufacture of models of ships and sailing ships - adults are also happy to make sailing ships, and some participate with them in competitions and contests. You can assemble a sailboat from plywood with your own hands.
It is necessary

- - ruler,
- - pencil,
- - cardboard,

Instructions
Step 1
Prepare materials for the sailboat - plywood 3-4 mm thick, thin slats with a section of 5x5 mm, jigsaw, knife, file, sandpaper, ruler, pencil, cardboard, nails or screws, tracing paper, PVA glue, brushes and threads, as well as paints and fabric for the sails.
Step 2
Separately transfer the drawing of the future sailing ship to plywood sheets, using for convenience a grid with a mesh size of 1x1 cm. Draw the contours of the parts on the grid, use the grid to transfer them to tracing paper, and then to plywood. Use carbon paper for accuracy.
Step 3
Cut out the parts marked on the plywood with a jigsaw, and then cut out the sails from a dense fabric: the foresail should have dimensions of 110x110 mm, the mainsail should be 200 mm along the lower side, and 215 mm along the back, and the mizzen should be 160, 125 and 220 mm.
Step 4
Cut out a thin piece of cardboard from a sheet of cardboard, which will be located perpendicular to the masts. The width of the cardboard yard should be 4 mm and the length should be such that the ends of the yard protrude slightly beyond the sails.
Step 5
From threads of different colors - you can take black and brown threads - make a standing and running rigging. Use black thread for standing rigging. Fasten the cables with plastic rings and glue, cut out the steering wheel from the sheet of tin. Drill 5mm holes in the deck to fit the masts.
Step 6
Line the decks in parallel strips to create a plank-like effect, and then assemble the hull of the sailboat by gluing the parts together with PVA glue. Make the masts from 5-mm strips, processing them so that they taper to 3 mm at the top.
Step 7
Connect the keel to the bottom, glue the main and aft deck to the workpiece, glue the bulkheads and glue the transom. File the edges, then sand the entire sailboat with sandpaper. Cover the outer surfaces of the sailboat with board sheathing made of thin veneer or thick cardboard. Paint the sailboat in suitable colors and varnish the deck.
