Among various paper crafts, paper boats and sailboats are very popular among children of all ages, which open up a lot of space for children to play. Folding a paper sailboat without scissors and glue is a fun activity, and your children will be happy to join you if you teach them how to make such boats from a sheet of paper.
Instructions
Step 1
To assemble the simplest boat, take an A4 sheet and fold it in half across, connecting the short sides. Then fold the resulting rectangle in half along a vertical line again, marking the middle fold line.
Step 2
Bend the upper left and right corners to the center line, connecting the edges of the corners together so that a free strip 2 cm wide remains at the bottom. Fold the lower strips up on both sides, and then turn the workpiece out to get a shape resembling a rhombus.
Step 3
Bend the lower triangular part of the rhombus up both in front and behind. Then fold down the left and right edges of the resulting triangle and bend the sides of the shape outward. Such a boat can already be lowered into the water, but you can modify it and attach a sail to it.
Step 4
You can also make a sailboat from a square sheet of paper - fold the sheet diagonally, and then lay it in front of you so that the corners of the square look up, down, right and left. This shape will look like a simple rhombus.
Step 5
Fold the upper and lower triangular edges to the center of the square, and bend the resulting figure in half again. Attach the mast to the figure, and glue the sail and flag to the mast.
Step 6
There is another way to fold a sailboat out of paper - for this, fold a square sheet of paper along the center line and along the diagonals, forming sixteen squares from the folds. Bend all four corners of the square towards the center, and then align the two edges of the workpiece with each other and with the center of the square.
Step 7
Connect all the corners in this way, turn the work over and bend it in half diagonally. Connect the small triangles on the right side of the figure to make a sail.
