Sewing on a sewing machine should include not only knowledge of sewing technologies, as well as knowledge of the rules for constructing patterns, but also knowledge of the technical features of the machine. In particular, you cannot start sewing if the machine is not threaded with working thread, so you must start by threading the working thread. The threading process is more or less the same for almost all sewing machines, both domestic and industrial.

Instructions

Step 1

Start threading with the upper working thread. Place the thread spool on the upper spool holder. Pull out the end of the thread and thread it into the thread guide hole on the arm of the sewing machine.

Step 2

Then pull the thread further towards the front of the machine and thread into the second thread guide. Pull the thread through the groove behind the front plane and place it between the tension washers. Hook up the thread with the end of the compensation spring. This has set the upper thread tension adjuster.

Step 3

Insert the thread into the hook of the thread guide and pass it through the thread guide, then thread it into the eye of the needle from the side of the long groove. Bring the end of the thread past the presser foot.

Step 4

After threading the upper thread, proceed to threading the lower thread. Wind enough thread of the desired color around the bobbin, then insert the bobbin into the bobbin case. Pass the thread through the slit in the bobbin case so that it faces outward in a clockwise direction, and then insert the bobbin case into the hook until it clicks.

Step 5

Close the cover of the lower compartment of the machine and turn the handwheel towards you several times by hand so that the upper thread picks up the lower thread. With the bobbin thread pulled out, pass the bobbin thread along with the upper thread by the presser foot, pulling both ends of the upper and bobbin thread 10-15 cm.

Step 6

After that, you can place the fabric on the plane of the machine, lower the foot and start sewing.
