Step 1
First of all, you need to find like-minded people, they are in almost every, even a small town. If there is no such club near you, organize it yourself. The modern fascination with knights and the medieval era will allow you to quickly recruit a fairly large group of companions.
Step 2
Becoming a participant in the role-playing game, write yourself a legend (the so-called quenta) - come up with a character for yourself and describe briefly his story (where he studied, how he lived, etc.). Of course, the legend should approach the game as a whole, if the game is based on the Slavs, then your character should also be from Ancient Russia.
Step 3
Pick or make your own equipment and weapons, they must also correspond to the era. In addition, the weapon must be safe, therefore tournament organizers always check the weight of the sword, the tension of the bowstring, etc.
Step 4
Most often, the equipment, clothing and weapons are made by the participants of knightly tournaments themselves. Read the descriptions of the relevant items of the era in books or the Internet and make yourself something similar. A sword can be made of duralumin, a shield made of wood, upholstered with a thin metal sheet and painted. Modern knights weave chain mail, sitting in front of the TV, and the helmet is remade from a hockey helmet.
Step 5
Physical training takes an important part of the knightly tournament. Club members train regularly, sometimes several times a week. Sometimes practice fights are held between different clubs.
Step 6
When you're ready, head to the tournament. Knightly tournaments are usually held in the summer. The theme and features of the battle are determined in advance, for example, it can be one of the battles of the "Lord of the Rings", the Battle of Grundwald, the battle of the Vikings, or any other option.
Step 7
Take the battle seriously. Each participant has a role to play. Roles are assigned individually in advance, other players are not aware of your role - this gives the game intrigue and interest. Also, a knightly tournament can be pairwise battles of participants, archery competitions, other games and fun.
