Yorkshire Terrier looks extremely impressive. This miniature dog has a more proportional build, long thick hair and expressive eyes. This is what you need to pay attention to when drawing.
Yorkshire, that and others
At the first stage, the Yorkshire terrier, toy terrier, pikinesis and other small dogs are drawn in the same way, especially if they are lying down. First, draw a horizontal auxiliary line a short distance from the bottom of the sheet. Find the middle of it. Draw another auxiliary line at a slight angle upward - the dog's paws and stomach will be on it. Note its length. From the same point, draw a vertical line and mark the approximate height of the dog on it. Her head will also be on this line. From the top mark, draw a smooth curve towards the tail. In fact, these are two arcs that are approximately the same in curvature, one of which is slightly higher. This line should connect with the one that goes at an angle to the horizontal.
You can start drawing a Yorkshire Terrier with an oval, the long axis of which coincides with the vertical line. The width of the oval is slightly less than its length.
Torso, head and legs
It is better to draw the body and legs in one line. It goes in the same direction as the oblique to the horizontal. You just have to refine this guide and give it the necessary waviness - the coat of the Yorkshire Terrier is long, and falls down in uneven strands. Draw a vertical rectangle on the vertical line, into which the muzzle and paws of your terrier will "fit". Round the corners slightly. So we got the base, the silhouette of the dog. Now it remains to draw the details.
The Toy Terrier is drawn in about the same way, only in it it is necessary to more clearly draw the limbs and body, which are hidden in the Yorkshire Terrier by wool.
The main thing is wool
The homeland of this little dog is the British Isles. Like a true Englishman, the Yorkshire Terrier is well-groomed and elegant. His coat should not hang in tufts, even in the drawing. Sketch out the eyes. They are small and round, but very expressive. The nose is also round, located exactly in the middle of the muzzle. Draw the wool with long wavy strokes going from top to bottom. A soft pencil works best for this purpose. The "curls" starting on the forehead and crown of the head fall down to the floor. The strokes are located close to each other. By the way, in the same way you can draw wool on the Russian greyhound. "Hairstyle" can be decorated with a bow; this is a very popular decoration among Yorkshire terriers.
