Ships and sailboats are a symbol of sea romance. It is difficult to find a person who would not be attracted by the grace of sailing ships. Professionally made sailboats are quite expensive, and they can decorate even the most expensive and prestigious interior, but if you want to find a sailboat to play with, it is not necessary to purchase an expensive toy. Make it yourself.
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare materials: scotch tape, styrofoam, thin and long wooden planks, thick fabric, a dummy knife, cardboard and wire. From the foam, make the hull of the ship, starting from the upper side and ending with the waterline.
Step 2
Cut the hull out of polystyrene with a cutter, observing the outlines and contours of the hull, then sharpen the nose with the same knife and shape the stern and then shape the bevels of the sides. Cut out the details for the side and stern trim from thick cardboard. All details must match the contours of the ship.
Step 3
Cut out the parts with the bulwark, adding an additional 7 mm on top of it. Cut out the deck out of cardboard and paint all the blanks for the sheathing. Mark a few crosses on the deck parts to identify the locations for the masts.
Step 4
Cover the casing tightly and tightly with tape so that it does not get wet when the sailboat falls into the water. Glue the prepared skin to the ship's hull.
Step 5
Carve masts for the sailboat from the planks. Also carve out the yards to be attached to the masts with wire. Sharpen the bottom of the mast into a sharp edge, and then file the mast so that it tapers upwards.
Step 6
Cut out the sails from the fabric, which should be wider than in height, and tie the sails to the yards with threads, making several holes in the fabric with an awl. Stick the masts into the markings on the deck and set up ladders made of wooden twigs or toothpicks.
Step 7
Take a piece of cardboard and stick it into the foam at the stern of the boat along the axis of symmetry to get the rudder. The rudder should sink into the water and look out from behind the ship. Launch the boat into the water.
