One of the hallmarks of modern fashion is democracy and diversity. Previously, a men's vest (sleeveless jacket) was associated with military uniforms, later strict classic models appeared. Today, clothes in a variety of styles and materials are popular - from sportswear with zippers to cozy knitted vests. With all the differences, most of the models are based on a comfortable pattern: the back and a shelf with an elastic band, with armholes of sleeves and a V-neck.

It is necessary

  • - straight knitting needles # 4;
  • - yarn;
  • - darning needle.

Instructions

Step 1

Run fabric swatches for all the patterns you've chosen to knit your men's tank top. For example, for slats (bottom, armholes, neck), elastic 1x1 elastic is optimal - alternating front and back loops. The basis of the canvas can be a 2x2 elastic band (2 front and 2 purl). The top of the front can be decorated with a simple relief: the 2x2 pattern will turn into a zigzag line of the so-called Italian elastic band.

Step 2

Practice doing the zigzag. To do this, dial the loops, the number of which will be a multiple of four. For example, 16 (including edging).

Step 3

Tie the first and second rows with a 2x2 elastic band, on the third do: 2 purl; knit the second of the following loops behind the back wall with the front one; return to the upcoming loop and perform it with the front for the front wall; again purl 2 and then according to the pattern.

Step 4

In the fourth row, knit: 2 knit; then knit 2 loops with purl, but first the second in a row, and then the first. Again a pair of facial; then work to the end of the row according to the pattern of the canvas. In subsequent rows, the zigzag pattern is repeated as described in steps 3 and 4.

Step 5

Based on the finished work samples, calculate the knitting density of the men's vest and adjust the size; Find the right yarn and knitting needles. For example, the density of the knitted fabric (knitting needles No. 4) is 21 loops and 30 rows in a square with sides of 10 cm. For a size 52 product, there is a sufficient number of initial loops for the lower edge of the shelf and back - 106 each.

Step 6

Start working from the back. Tie a dozen rows with a 1x1 elastic band, then move on to a 2x2 pattern. Knit a straight piece of fabric until you reach the line of the sleeveless armholes. In the example shown, this will be about 39-40 cm from the bottom of the work.

Step 7

To symmetrically round the canvas on the right and left of the back, in each even row close 3 loops 2 times, 2 times 2 and 2 times in total along the loop (adjacent pairs of loops are knitted together).

Step 8

Measure the height of the armholes. When they reach 20-21 cm, form a round neckline. To do this, mark the center 22 sts and close them. Continue to work separately on each side of the part. From one edge of the neck through a row, close 6, then 5 loops; process the opposite edge according to the pattern, but as if in a mirror image. Close the rest of the backrest loops.

Step 9

Knit the front of the vest following the pattern for the back. The differences will be in the decorative design of the top of the part and the cutout line. In the process of working on the front, make a control fitting and specify the desired depth of the triangular neck. Its starting point (acute angle) is the 2 central loops of the canvas. Close them. From now on, replace the 2x2 elastic with a zigzag one (see steps # 3-4).

Step 10

Continue knitting the vest from individual balls of yarn. On the left and right of the neckline, close one extreme loop in every second row. When you complete the product to the shoulder line, complete the work.

Step 11

Sew the cut details and tie the armhole and neck strips. To do this, cast on the circular knitting needles loops along the edge of the product and make a 1x1 elastic of the desired height. Sew a collar of a triangular neck in a sharp corner with an overlap. You just have to steam the finished men's vest and let it dry before use.
