Instructions

Step 1

Start by drawing a picture of the dog's torso. It has an elongated shape, but at the same time it is quite strong and muscular. The body length is about 2.5 times the width of the spaniel's ribcage.

Step 2

Draw the head of the dog. Its size is about three times less than the body length. Please note that the spaniel's neck is quite thin compared to the powerful chest, its length corresponds to the size of the head, it is not set high, as, for example, in Dobermans, but slightly lower. Select the developed brow ridges approximately in the middle of the head. The parietal part of the head is convex and wide enough. The spaniel's muzzle is extended forward, the nose is large. A characteristic feature of the dog is slightly sagging flews, but they are not as pronounced as, for example, in bulldogs.

Step 3

Draw the eyes. They are erect, large enough and oval in shape. The line of the lower eyelid does not sag, but forms a small, slightly downward wave.

Step 4

Draw a construction line through the center of the eye and parallel to the ground. Draw long, drooping ears at the intersection with the dog's crown. Their size is comparable to the size of the head of a spaniel, they are covered with silky wavy hair. Rounded shape.

Step 5

Draw the limbs of the spaniel. Start the front feet from the widest point of the chest, they are thinner. The hind ones are wider and have pronounced articulations.

Step 6

Draw the tail. Keep in mind that some spaniel breeds dock it in half, but anyway it is quite thick at the base and covered with long flowing hair.

Step 7

Start coloring the picture. Spaniels can be solid or spotted. The most common black, brown or reddish representatives of this breed. On the back, the hair is close to the surface of the body, and on the ears, tail, belly and paws, it flows. Spaniels have brown eyes and pink tongues.
