It is necessary

  • - PVA glue
  • - scissors, threads;
  • - lace;
  • - table lamp;
  • - sandpaper;
  • - wax, wax candle;
  • - acrylic primer;
  • - craquelure varnish (one-step for cracks);
  • - white, dark paint (black, brown, burgundy);
  • - paper napkins with a pattern of roses (other colors) on a light base.

Instructions

Step 1

Sand the base of the lamp well with sandpaper. Degrease with alcohol (vodka) to remove old paint, varnish and rust.

Step 2

Prime with ready-to-use acrylic primer. In this case, a mixture was used: PVA glue, white acrylic paint, latex putty. Take the ingredients in equal parts and mix into a mixture with a consistency similar to thick sour cream.

Step 3

Paint the base with a dark paint: black, brown, burgundy. Rub the folds and corners with a candle so that the top paint does not adhere well to the base and a layer of dark paint appears when rubbing.

Step 4

Then paint with white paint. Apply 2nd coat if paint is uneven. Pick up a napkin with roses. Cut out roses with nail scissors, try them on the lampshade.

Step 5

Remove the 2 bottom layers from the napkin, leaving the top one with roses. Place white layers of cut flowers on the sticky tapes to orient and glue the flowers harmoniously and symmetrically.

Step 6

Apply 1 layer of PVA glue (special glue for decoupage) to each rose. If the PVA is too thick, thin it slightly with water or moisten a brush. Cover the entire lampshade with roses.

Step 7

When the glue is dry, cover the images with acrylic varnish. Sandpaper the folds of the lamp base, where you rubbed it with a candle, so that the lower dark layer appears.

Step 8

Gather the lace with a string and tighten with an accordion. Sew lace ruffle to the bottom edge of the lampshade. Decorate the base of the lamp with a ribbon bow and beaded beads gathered on a thread.
