  • - music;
  • - comfortable clothes

Instructions

Step 1

Wear free-flowing clothing and stand in front of a full-length mirror. Turn on the music. There are 4 basic movements in ska: bends, steps, monkey and rowing.

Step 2

Practice bending. To do this, stand up straight, relax. Falling into the rhythm of the music, tilt your upper body. At the same time, bend your knees slightly. Bends are carried out with a straight back. When bending over, cross your arms, while straightening your body, relax your arms. When tilting, turn the body slightly to the right, next time turn it to the left.

Step 3

Practice the steps of this dance. Just follow the usual steps to the right or left, combining them with the bends. When taking a step to the side, straighten your arms. Then cross them as you substitute the other leg. During steps, try to spring with your knees, as if imitating a jump. To do this, the muscles in the knees must be relaxed.

Step 4

Rehearse the monkey movement. To do this, relax your hands. Then move them to the right, then to the left leg or between the legs. This movement must be combined with bends and steps. As you step to the right, raise your right arm bent at the elbow. Then lower your right arm and raise your left, also bent at the elbow. Repeat the movement in the opposite direction.

Step 5

Practice the rowing motion. To do this, place your hands behind your back. Bring your lower body forward. Put your arms forward in a rowing motion. Row to either side. To perform a rowing motion, bend your elbows and hold, imagining that you are pulling the oars of the boat. Then straighten your arms, and then bend them at the elbow again. Help yourself with the body.

Step 6

Practice performing these movements, improvise and experiment. Listen to music and your body and you will definitely succeed.
