Dracaena is an unpretentious houseplant that loves shade. Its processes can be easily transplanted and in most cases take root in a new place without problems. Lovers of indoor flowers can easily plant the dracaena on their own.

It is necessary

  • - a pot;
  • - soil;
  • - sand;
  • - water;
  • - drainage;
  • - bank;
  • - a remedy with phytohormones.

Instructions

Step 1

Carefully cut a small section off the top of the dracaena. Pour room temperature water into a jar, and pour some sand on the bottom. Place the scion in a container. Control the state of the flower: after a certain time, roots should appear.

Step 2

If the scion is good and strong enough, try letting it root in wet sand. To do this, treat its base with a special solution with phytohormones and plant it in wet sand. As a primer, you can purchase a ready-made mixture at a flower shop. The container with sand should be slightly heated from below.

Step 3

Wait until cuttings 6-7 cm long are formed on the dracaena stem. You can carefully separate them and transplant them into the ground. Choose a pot that is not too large, as too much soil can kill the roots.

Step 4

If you are replanting an already rooted dracaena, use a pot that is appropriate for the plant's size. Pour drainage at the bottom, then fill the pot with soil halfway. Place the dracaena carefully inside, being careful not to damage the roots. Add the rest of the soil. Try to strengthen the soil around the roots tightly enough to hold the dracaena well. Leave the rest of the soil loose.

Step 5

If you have an already rooted shoot in the main pot, plant it when it is strong enough. To do this, remove the dracaena from the pot and try to find the border between the roots of the two plants. Gradually remove the soil along this border, and then separate the roots.
