Handicraft is an art form that allows people to express themselves or calm their nerves. Machine embroidery is interesting for the speed of the work performed and the perfect stitches. For this, you can adapt an ordinary household sewing machine.
Instructions
Step 1
Remove the presser foot and then the teeth from the sewing machine. To do this, you first need to unscrew the screw that holds the foot. Then you need to unscrew the two screws with which the plate is attached, which makes the stitches, and for the rest, also those two with which the teeth are directly held. After the teeth have been removed, screw the stitch plate back on.
Step 2
Remove any dirt you can get to from the car. To make cleaning the machine from dust and oil residues less troublesome, pinch a small piece of cloth in a pair of tweezers. Moreover, you can additionally moisten it in kerosene, if possible.
Step 3
Lubricate the underside of the machine, which is usually covered with a tin case, with oil. To do this, you need to unscrew the screw, which is located to the right of the wheel, and then, discarding the belt, throw back the upper part of the car.
Step 4
Hoop the fabric. First, place the top ring on a table and cover it with a cloth so that the pattern is “facing” up. Then it is necessary to put the inner ring into the upper ring. It is imperative to make sure that the fabric around the hoop is not stretched along the slanting threads. If so, then it is necessary to pull it in straight lines, otherwise the pattern will lose its shape. The tension on the fabric should be as tight as possible, only then can it be stopped.
Step 5
Choose a needle that will match the exact thickness of both fabric and thread. Take this task extremely responsibly, since the success and beauty of future embroidery largely depends on the accuracy of the selection of the needle and its quality.
Step 6
Check if the needle is bent during operation. To do this, place it on any smooth surface with the flat side of the head, and carefully examine its tip. Then pay attention to the eye of the needle, which should not be rough.
