Neatly knitted house slippers are charming, cozy and unique. If you get your hands on this skill, you can make wonderful gifts for all your loved ones. Self-knitted shoes do not need a lot of material - just the remains of multi-colored yarn of medium thickness. Learning how to knit slippers is easier on the basis of store-bought perforated insoles, which will serve as a ready-made template for you.

Instructions
Step 1
Purchase a suitable size insole from a shoe store. Cut out small pieces of protective material for durability (old natural or imitation leather, suede or heavy upholstery). Sew it on the outside of each insole by hand using a darning needle and coarse thread. Carefully cut off the excess parts of the material.
Step 2
Start knitting the top of your knitted slippers. It will be easy to do this - you should constantly apply a loose fabric to the top of the insole and the foot of the future owner of the shoe. Begin the first row of the part with a chain of air loops (its length is the width of the foot 3 centimeters below the base of the little finger).
Step 3
Next, knit the crochet stitches, gradually decreasing the loops on both sides. To do this, at the beginning of every second row, knit a pair of loops together with single crochets, and at the end of the row, do not tie one column at a time. When you knit the top of the slippers to the end of your thumb, tighten the working thread and finish the job. You should have two pieces in the form of triangles with a blunt tip.
Step 4
Make knitted slipper insoles (inner part of the sole) - they should be twins of shop insoles (lower part of the sole). Do straight and back rows of double crochets. Referring to the ready-made template, perform the necessary additions and additions. Increases are made through a row: from one double crochet - two at once.
Step 5
Tie the finished parts of the slippers around the perimeter with a thread of a contrasting color. Simple single crochets work best here. When tying the sole, fold all its parts together (store with a protective cloth down, put the knitted one on top). Your task is not only to decorate the insoles, but also to connect them together.
Step 6
