Instructions

Step 1

Start by making a springboard that is not too steep. First, draw a sketch in the form of a right-angled triangle, the lower leg of which is 145 cm, and the side leg is 60 cm. The hypotenuse will be the direct length of the springboard. Take a sheet of birch plywood 24 mm thick, as well as 10 meters of 4 cm thick planks.

Step 2

On the plywood, draw the outline of the springboard triangle and overlay it along the outline of the board. Saw off the corners from them so that they are combined into a triangle. Use a hacksaw to cut the boards of the desired shape for the longitudinal sides of the triangle, and then the shorter ones.

Step 3

Fasten the side frames of the springboard with a drill and self-tapping screws or screws. Do not drill more than four holes at the frame attachment point. Also, do not use ordinary nails and a hammer for fastening.

Step 4

After making two triangles of the sidewalls, cut out four transverse boards that you will attach between the triangles. They will provide strength to the structure and allow even better anchoring of the springboard over the frame. Fasten the transverse boards at right angles to the inclined slope line with self-tapping screws.

Step 5

Now take a sheet of plywood of the correct length and width to match your frame and its dimensions, adding 1 cm on each side. Attach the sheet to the frame with screws and a drill, making gaps between the screws 10-12 cm.

Step 6

To make the springboard stronger, in its wide part, under the rise, strengthen the transverse board. To enter the springboard more conveniently and safer, on the lower slope touching the ground, reinforce a narrow metal strip 30 cm wide and 3 mm thick.

Step 7

Fasten the steel strip with screws so that its leading edge protrudes slightly beyond the edge of the plywood sheet. This will allow you to drive onto the springboard from any surface without shaking. Saturate the springboard with protective impregnations and paint.
