The legendary Cheburashka has not gone out of fashion for several decades, since the release of the cartoon in 1969. Of all the characters in Eduard Uspensky's book "Gena the Crocodile and His Friends", he became the most famous: films, candies, shows with his participation continue to be popular.

It is necessary

  • - brown plush, drape (any fleecy fabric);
  • - orange jersey, felt;
  • - cotton wool, foam trimming;
  • - a piece of copper wire.

Instructions

Step 1

Prepare a brown fleecy cloth for the parts of the toy: head (2 parts), ears (4 parts), torso (2 parts), front legs (2 parts). Orange jersey: hind legs (4 parts), face (1 part), chest (1 part). From felt: brushes-gloves (2 parts).

Step 2

Cut a rectangle 16 x 10 cm, round the corners. Cut out another such shape (for the head of the toy), lay and sew darts, about 2 cm deep, in the middle of the short sides.

Step 3

Draw a circle with a radius of 8.5 cm, cut one "side" of the circle to a depth of 6.5 cm along the radius. Cut out 4 of these parts (for the ears), in the center of the cutout, lay and sew a dart 2 cm.

Step 4

Draw a rectangle 22 cm high, 15 cm wide. Round the corners so that you get an even oval (the body of the toy), cut one narrow edge of the oval with a smooth concave line to a depth of 5 cm (the place for attaching the head). On the other narrow edge, draw darts 2 cm deep to the right and left of the center at a distance of 5 cm. Cut out 2 parts (for the torso).

Step 5

Draw a cross: vertically and horizontally 13 cm, the intersection - at a height of 1 cm. Connect the extreme points of the horizontal through the lower point of the vertical with a smooth line. At a height of 8 cm vertically, draw a horizontal line (another cross) 8 cm long (4 cm to the left and right of the vertical). Connect the end points of the second cross with straight lines with the top and with the end points of the base (you get something like a tent with a convex base).

Step 6

Cut out two of these parts (for the front legs), this is a longitudinal fold pattern. It remains to cut out the face (the oval, as for the head, 2 cm less), the chest (the oval, as for the body, the upper cut coincides with the cut for attaching the head, 4 cm less on the sides, 6 cm less), the hand (legs with four toes), hind legs (in the form of a drop, narrow heel, wide toe, about 9 cm by 5 cm).

Step 7

Take the "face" part, turn the cut, sew it over the edge with your hands, sew in the center of the "head" part with a little cotton wool. Sew darts on the ears, sew two ears to the front of the head, then a second pair to the back.

Step 8

Fold the front of the head with the ears from the back with the front sides, stitch (do not sew the bottom section) and turn out. Bend the two pieces of copper wire into the shape of the ears and insert.

Step 9

Sew the bib on the front of the body with a overcast seam, tucking the cut. Sew on the darts of the torso, fold the pieces right over and stitch without sewing the neckline.

Step 10

Stuff the head and body with cotton wool, scraps of foam rubber, sew the head to the body. Cut 2 parts of the front legs, bend them in half lengthwise, grind, leaving the wide end part open. Turn out, stuff with cotton wool, sew a felt glove brush to the wide part, attach the front legs to the body.

Step 11

Take 4 parts of the hind legs, fold them with the right sides in pairs, grind, leaving a section for stuffing not sewn up. Turn it out, stuff with cotton wool, sew up the open seam, attach it to the body by the narrow part of the paws (heels).
