The person in the image of Cheburashka will become recognizable, of course, thanks to the "branded" ears. However, it will not be enough just to make cardboard ears and paint them brown. Without a rather simple, but still necessary costume, a Russian cartoon character can be confused with Mickey Mouse.

Instructions
Step 1
Buy a thick, fluffy fabric. It can be corduroy or plush. You will need material in dark chocolate and light brown shades.
Step 2
Sew the upper part of the suit in the form of a long-sleeved sweater. To make a pattern, trace any loose-fitting sweater or T-shirt on the paper, then use a ruler to line up the lines. The width of the jacket at the level of the hip line should be 10 cm greater than the half-girth of the hips. Add 3-4 cm seam allowances on all sides of the pattern.
Step 3
The character had a light spot on his chest. Cut it out of a light brown fabric. Draw the pattern of the part in the form of a semicircle. Its diameter is equal to the distance from the middle of one shoulder to the middle of the other. Pull the circle out slightly vertically and transfer the pattern to the fabric. Stitch this "bib" on the front of the jacket.
Step 4
Fold the two pieces right side up and sew the side seams. Trim the neckline and cuffs with tape to match, make a drawstring on the bottom edge of the sweater and insert an elastic band into it. The length of the elastic should be a couple of centimeters less than the circumference of the hips.
Step 5
The lower part of the suit is pants. Build a pattern in the same way, copying it from any straight-cut trousers, such as pajamas. Since the top of the trousers will be covered with a jacket, instead of a belt, you can simply slip the elastic into the drawstring.
Step 6
Finally, the main detail of Cheburashka's costume is the ears. The cartoon character had them completely round and the same size as his head. To make such an "accessory" look good on a person, the ears can be slightly extended in height, making them oval. Measure from your forehead to your chin and draw an oval at that height. Make the width of the part smaller by 2 cm. Cut 4 identical ovals from the dark brown fabric.
Step 7
To keep the ears in shape, make a frame out of lightweight cardboard. Draw two ovals on it, reducing the length and width by 1 cm. Assemble the entire structure - wrap the cardboard with a cloth so that the front side of the material is outside. Bend the edges of the material, make notches around the entire perimeter so that the "upholstery" lies flat. Sew along the perimeter of the ear. Then trim it with dark brown tape. Sew the finished ears to the fabric-covered headband.
