Step 1
First, try drawing your palm on a separate sheet of paper (first the left, then the right). Place the sheet vertically and use a simple pencil to start sketching. If something does not work out - do not rush to erase, first correct the drawing, then correct it with an eraser.
Step 2
Like any part of the body, you can sketch a hand using geometric shapes. Draw two squares, one above the other so that they touch on one side. The lower square is the palm itself, the upper one is the fingers.
Step 3
Sketch the thumb, which is at a slight angle to the palm. To do this, draw a small triangle, the base of which touches the side of the square. Draw a rectangle from the side of this triangle - the future thumb.
Step 4
Now refine the drawing. Divide the upper square into four equal parts vertically, thus marking the fingers. Next, indicate their length. The largest of the fingers is the middle one. Next in size are the ring, index and little fingers. Round the tops of the toes and add fold lines on the toes.
Step 5
Draw a thumb. To do this, pay attention to the structure of your own finger and round off the rectangular sketch with smooth pencil movements. Use the eraser to erase unnecessary lines. Since you are drawing a palm, the fold lines should be depicted on it. Look at your hand and if you like, copy the direction of the folds or draw them yourself.
Step 6
Add shadow. Start hatching with light lines. Determine in advance where your light source is. Pay attention to your palm, try to convey all the bumps and depressions. You can select some light parts with an eraser.
Step 7
Practice drawing a palm and, in general, fingers from nature, ask your friends or relatives for this. Pay attention to the direction of the fingers, to the anatomy of the human hand.
