Biography
Kostas Martakis was born in 1984 in the Greek city of Athens into a family of ordinary workers. Father - Nikos Politis - Greek, and mother - Nitsa Limberopoulou - Australian. The family had three children: the musician also has a sister and a brother. The family moved to Athens from Crete.
In childhood and adolescence, Kostas played sports - basketball - and even was a member of the Greek national team. In parallel, I tried myself quite successfully in the modeling field. In 2007, Sony BMG released Martakis' debut album, which was named Coup. Subsequently, the album will receive the main prize of the MAD Video Music Awards, becoming the Best New Album. In the same year Martakis takes part in the world-famous "New Wave" competition, which is held annually in Jurmala. Despite the fact that he was not included in the top three finalists, Kostas was awarded the Audience Award.
