The mustachioed plumber series of platformers has long been recognized as an ageless classic and remains popular to this day. The line today has about 30 games for different platforms, but the best-selling Super Mario Brothers remained in its original form only on the Dendy / Nintendo 64 console.
Instructions
Step 1
Download an emulator. This is a program for your PC that allows you to run any game with Dendy. VirtuaNES is the simplest and most convenient to use. On torrent trackers, you can find entire archives that include the emulator itself and almost all the games for it - such an archive takes about 2 GB. One emulator "weighs" no more than 2 mb.
Step 2
Unpack the downloaded archive and install (if required) the program. Open the destination folder, find the VirtuaNes.exe file there and open it. The "environment" will appear in front of you, which will allow you to launch Super Mario Brothers.
Step 3
Make sure you already have the "image" of the game. You can download it on the sites dedicated to the platform, of which there are quite a lot today. If you originally downloaded an emulator with a set of games, then "Mario" is certainly present there: check the folder with.nes files.
Step 4
In the running environment, click on the "File" -> "Open" item and find the game file in the opened explorer. The game will start and go directly to the main menu. Please note that this is not a copy, but the original version.
Step 5
The gameplay consists in moving the main character from left to right, towards the end of the level. Collecting coins is optional, although it is useful: for every 100 you get an additional "life", ie. the opportunity to die. Remember that when all lives are over, you will have to start the game over.
Step 6
Look for secrets. "Mario" is filled with dozens of bonuses and hints: coins drop out of broken bricks in some places; you can go down into the green pipes by pressing the down key; sometimes you can climb to the upper border of the level and get into the secret area.
Step 7
Avoid enemies, but look for improvements. One of your main "goals" should be the search for "mushrooms" and "stars", because the former allow you to increase in size and shoot, and the latter - to become invulnerable. Needless to say, playing this way is much easier.
