The traditional Easter gift is an egg. It is the symbol of this holiday. You can give dyed real eggs, painted, made of wood or even decorated with jewelry. If you want to show your imagination, then try to make an egg from beads yourself.
It is necessary
- - papier mache;
- - strong thread;
- - beads of various colors;
- - glue;
- - a needle.
Instructions
Step 1
First you need to decide on the basis. You can also use a real egg, only first you need to remove the contents by making punctures. But such a base is too fragile and short-lived, so if you want your gift to be stored for a long time, it is better to make a papier-mâché or wood blank.
Step 2
You can make an egg in two ways. The first is to string beads on a string and then tightly wrap the egg with a thread in a spiral, gluing it to the surface of the egg. The surface must first be coated with glue, PVA is best suited. Use beads of different colors to make the egg elegant and beautiful. When the glue is dry, decorate with ribbons.
Step 3
To achieve a greater effect, you can paint the egg with paint, and then also wrap it with strung beads, only the beads in this case are better to use transparent, and instead of ordinary thread, use colorless, for example, thin fishing line.
Step 4
To make the pattern more interesting and voluminous, you can use another method. It is a little more laborious and requires more skill, but the result will delight both you and the person who will receive this original gift. With this method, you need to braid the egg with beads so that it seems to be in an elegant case.
Step 5
To do this, first weave a "belt". It is about a third of the egg wide. Weave a belt, secure both ends and slide it over the egg, at its widest part. The belt should fit snugly, not loose.
Step 6
The next step is to braid the top and bottom of the egg. The mesh technique is commonly used. It will be necessary to weave an openwork mesh, moving from the belt to the top or base of the egg, reducing the number of beads in each circle so that the mesh tightly covers the workpiece.
Step 7
When you're done weaving, secure the mesh with thread. Eggs are especially beautiful when using beads of different colors - you can choose beads of the same color for smooth transitions, or you can use contrasting colors for greater effect. Once you master this technique, you will be able to make many different patterns for beaded eggs, and each will be unique.
