Knitted ties are a necessary element of many hats, hoods, bags, shoes and other handicrafts. Depending on their tasks, the needlewoman can knit a cord of any size in a suitable way. Different tools can be used in the work - a hook or knitting needles.
It is necessary
- - two straight knitting needles with a limiter;
- - two knitting needles;
- - hook;
- - yarn.
Instructions
Step 1
Cast on two knitting needles loops according to the length of the future lace. Carefully pull one knitting needle out of the cast-on thread arms. Begin to knit the stitches with the front loops, while closing the row. Do it in the following sequence: remove the hem on the right knitting needle; knit the next knit; pull the knitted loop through the removed one.
Step 2
Continue working as described, passing the stitches from the left knitting needle through the stitches on the right side of the work.
Step 3
Please note: all loops must be closed freely, in no case pulling the cord. Otherwise, the knitted strip will turn into a spiral. Close the last loop, pull the working thread into a knot and cut it with a small margin (about 5 cm). Tuck the remaining "tail" into the thickness of the finished lace.
Step 4
A wide knitted cord can be used as a decorative trim on the hem, sides and neckline of garments. To complete this element, cast on a pair of stocking needles (without stopper at the ends) 4 loops.
Step 5
Knit a row with knit stitches and slide all bows to the opposite end of the tool. At the same time, do not turn the knitting over!
Step 6
Tighten the working yarn and continue following the pattern in step # 5 until you get the lace you want.
Step 7
Try crocheting the strip. This is the most convenient way to make strings on a finished headdress. Insert the tool shaft into the outer loop of the product, grab the working thread and make the first chain loop.
Step 8
Follow the chain with the desired number of links and tie it with single crochets. To make the cord thicker, repeat the row. The ends of the ready-made ties can be decorated with tassels from short air chains.
