An elegant Christmas tree for table decoration or as a gift can be easily knitted in just an hour using grass-type yarn. Even novice needlewomen can cope with this task. The master class in the photo contains all the main stages of knitting a Christmas tree.

- • Hook No. 3.
- • Cardboard for the base.
- • Scotch tape or glue.

Instructions
Step 1
To crochet a Christmas tree, you first need to make a base. To do this, roll a sheet of cardboard with a cone - to get a small decorative spruce, a cone with a diameter of 15 cm is enough. Fix the cardboard base with tape or glue so that it retains its shape.
Step 2
Take the Grass yarn. Alize Dekofour is a fantasy yarn that really looks like grass. If you buy green yarn, it will be almost impossible to distinguish a knitted herringbone from a real one. Crochet 80 stitches and close into a ring.
Step 3
Try the resulting ring on the base to see if it fits. Next, knit rows, gradually reducing the number of loops. So, in the first row, knit all 80 loops with a double crochet.
Step 4
Using crochet stitches makes it easier to knit a herringbone, because the fabric is quickly added. Therefore, knitting will take only an hour. In the second row, make evenly decreases - every 3 loops, knit 2 loops together. The next row, third, knit without deductions.
Step 5
In the fourth row, make a decrease every 3 loops by knitting 2 loops together. The fifth row again needs to be knitted without deductions. Gradually try on the resulting canvas on a cone so that it matches the parameters of the base.
Step 6
This should be knitted until the end of the Christmas tree. In the last row, you need to cut the thread and pull it through the remaining 3-4 loops (or more, depending on how often you made the decreases). Tighten the thread and tie it in a knot. The tip of Alize Dekofour's yarn needs to be hidden.
Step 7
Stretch the resulting grass yarn over a cardboard cone. It is not necessary to fix an additional Christmas tree, but if you wish, you can carefully glue the knitted fabric from below with tape.
Step 8
All that remains is to lightly comb the Grass yarn or straighten the pile with your hands. Decorate the knitted Christmas tree as you wish - in this case, a ribbon bow and beads were used. The result is a craft with a height of about 25 cm. The New Year's gift is ready!
