Poncho is very comfortable and at the same time beautiful clothes for a child. Knit it from multi-colored woolen yarn, and it will keep your baby warm for more than one season. It is not difficult to knit, as the traditional poncho is just a rectangle with a hole for the head in the middle.

- - circular needles number 7;
- - hook number 6;
- - 2 buttons.
Instructions
Step 1
Keep the poncho warm, so knit it with two ply yarn. Tie a 10x10 centimeters pattern before starting knitting. The knitting density should be approximately 7, 5 stitches and 15 rows.
Step 2
Knit the entire poncho in circular rows, starting from the bottom of the garment. Cast on 168 stitches and knit 2 centimeters in garter stitch for the placket.
Step 3
Then knit in circular rows with front stitch in the following sequence. For the dec off points, mark the 1st, 43rd, 85th, and 127th sts. In the third circular row from the plank, in the four marked places, knit three loops together with a broach (that is, remove the marked loop with the previous loop together as a front one, one front one and pull it through both removed loops). Repeat such decreases 15 times in every fourth circular row and once in the next second circular row, for a total subtract 32 loops.
Step 4
After 36 centimeters from the plank, divide the work for a cut in one of the places of decrease and continue to knit with the front stitch in straight and back rows. For the next reductions, knit from the inner edge at the edge two loops together with the front one or, respectively, two loops together with a broach (remove one loop as a front one, one front loop and pull it through the removed loop). After 44 centimeters from the plank, knit two centimeters in garter stitch, evenly decreasing four loops in the first row. Then close the remaining 28 stitches.
Step 5
Crochet the edges of the cut with a matching or contrasting thread with one row of single crochets. On one side, make two hinge loops with 3x 3 chain stitches. Sew on two buttons.
Step 6
Decorate the poncho with fringes. Cut the threads 15-17 centimeters long. Fold them in half and tie them in each loop.
Step 7
Children's ponchos decorated with small pompoms look cute. Make several pieces of different colors. To do this, cut out the templates from the cardboard. Wind yarn around them so that it fills the entire hole in the middle of the template. Cut the yarn around the edges, tie in the middle with thread and pull out the template. Fluff up the pompom and trim the edges.
