It is necessary

  • - white paper for drawing;
  • - pencils of varying degrees of hardness;
  • - eraser;
  • - stationery knife;
  • - soft brushes of different sizes;
  • - paper napkin.

Instructions

Step 1

Attach a piece of white, loose drawing paper to your tablet or easel. Sharpen pencils of different hardness sharply - they are needed to indicate contours, drawing and soft shading. Do not forget about the eraser - it will quickly fix minor imperfections in the picture.

Step 2

First, draw one eye. If you are fascinated by the process, you can depict the second one. The problem is that they must be completely identical - and this can be a real problem for a novice artist. But even one carefully drawn eye can become an independent and very interesting sketch, worthy of being framed.

Step 3

In the center of the sheet, outline the outline of the eye. Above it, mark the eyelid line and eyebrows. Rub some soft pencil lead onto a separate sheet of paper. Draw the powder on a brush and apply it to the drawing, creating a background and covering the contour of the eye. Blend the graphite gently to create a uniform and translucent color.

Step 4

Take a thinner beveled brush. Dip it in powder and paint in the darker areas - the corners of the eye, the shadow under the eyebrow and the crease of the eyelid. Take an eraser and, using a sharp corner, lighten the highlight on the iris, mark the white strokes on the upper eyelid and the inner corner of the eye. If the eraser doesn't have enough sharp edges, sharpen it with a utility knife.

Step 5

Take a soft pencil and draw a clear line along the top of the iris that touches the eyelid. Draw the outline of the fold of the upper eyelid and paint over the pupil. Darken the contour of the iris with light strokes to create a lively eye effect. Darken the lash line.

Step 6

Repeat the technique several times, achieving smooth tone transitions. Use the corner of the eraser to clean up the highlight, adding brightness to it. With light strokes of a hard pencil, go over the curve of the eyebrow, simulating hairs.

Step 7

Tone the skin around the eye. Darken the area under the brow at the inner corner and around the temple with soft strokes. Add shadow for the lower eyelid. Go over the mucous area with a corner of the eraser, highlighting it. Mark the line of the eye socket and blend it, creating a subtle shadow.

Step 8

Roll up a paper towel and go over the drawing, smoothing out uneven strokes and smoothing out the transitions of shadow and light. Gently brush off excess slate powder. The drawing can be considered complete.
