The knitted squirrel will bring joy to your child and bring variety to the family of plush and soft toys. None of your baby's friends will have such a toy anymore, which means it will be unique and carry the warmth and love that you have invested.
It is necessary
- - yarn: 50 g each beige and rust colored;
- - knitting needles number 3;
- - 5 knitting needles # 3 for circular knitting;
- - a piece of artificial fur 30 x 30 cm,
- - synthetic wool or foam rubber for filler;
- - 2 black eye buttons.
Instructions
Step 1
Knit a 26 cm squirrel with front stitch: front rows - front loops, purl rows - purl loops. Knitting density: 24p.x34r. - 10x10 cm.
Step 2
Tie the outside of the hind legs, back, and part of the head. Start knitting from the back right leg. To do this, cast 30 loops with a rust-colored thread and knit 6 rows with the front stitch. Bind off 12 loops from the right edge, and leave 18. Knit the back left leg symmetrically (bind off 12 loops from the left edge). Knit back right leg, cast on 28 more loops and knit back left leg. A total of 64 loops.
Step 3
Next, knit with the front stitch. Knit the left side symmetrically to the right. After 23 rows, decrease on the right in the front rows 1 time by 1 loop, 2 times by 2 loops, then close 10 loops from the right edge.
Step 4
Work 2 rows and start adding stitches. In the front rows, add from the right edge 6 times 1 loop and 1 time 4 loops. In the next front row, start decreasing the back. To do this, after 24 loops from the right edge, knit 2 loops together with the front one, then knit 4 front loops, again 2 loops together with the front one and then the front loops to the left edge.
Step 5
In the next front row, continue adding from the edges. Add 1 loop 6 times. At the same time, in the front rows, make a decrease for the back 12 times. After adding at the edges in the next two front rows, decrease the loops for the back only and then start decreasing at the edges. Decrease 6 times by 1 loop from the right edge and symmetrically decrease to the left.
Step 6
After you finish the decrease on the back, knit 10 rows with the front stitch, close 10 loops on the right, knit 4 knit loops, knit 2 together, knit 2 and symmetrically finish the left part. In the front rows, make 7 more decreases for the back and 5 additions, 1 loop at each edge. After you finish the decrease on the back, add 3 loops from each edge through 1 front row. Close the remaining 6 loops.
Step 7
Tie the belly of the squirrel and the front of the head. Cast on 6 loops with beige thread. Knit with the front stitch. In the front rows from the right edge and on the left, add 8 times 1 loop each, knit the front row according to the pattern and begin to decrease the loops.
Step 8
Decrease in front rows 6 times, 1 loop from each edge. Next, knit 26 rows with the front stitch, then add 2 loops 3 times from each edge and 2 times 1 in each front row.
Step 9
After 1 front row, decrease on the right and left 6 times, 1 loop in the front rows. After 1 front row, add from both edges 6 times, 1 loop in the front rows. On the 5th decrease (80 rows from the beginning) bind off the middle 4 sts and finish the sides separately. For bevels, reduce 5 times 1 st. On the right half, reduce the loops on the left, knit the left half symmetrically.
Step 10
Start knitting the hind legs from the bottom edge. To do this, cast 16 stitches with a rust-colored thread, distribute them on 4 knitting needles and knit with a circular front stitch.
Step 11
In each 7th row, add loops 3 times according to the following scheme: after the first loop of the first and third knitting needles and before the last loop of the second and fourth knitting needles, knit 1 front crossed loop from the broach. In total there will be 28 loops.
Step 12
After 27 rows, reduce the loops: knit the first loop of the first and third knitting needles with the front one, remove the second as the front one, knit the third one with the front one and pull the removed loop through it, knit the third and second last loops of the second and fourth knitting needles together with the front one. Repeat the decrease 2 times. Then distribute the remaining 16 loops by 8 to 2 knitting needles and sew a loop to loop seam.
Step 13
Start the front legs from the top edge. To do this, cast 10 loops with a rust-colored thread and knit with the front satin stitch. On each side, add 1 loop 4 times in each 4th row. Next, cast on 10 more loops for these loops, distribute the resulting 28 loops on 4 knitting needles and knit in a circle.
Step 14
In row 15, 7 times each 3 and 4 loops, knit together the front one. Then separate 12 stitches and knit 16 rows with stockinette stitch with rust-colored thread. Close the hinges. On the remaining 9 loops, knit 12 more rows with the front stitch with beige thread, then close the loops. Sew the sides of the feet.
Step 15
In order to tie the ears, cast on 12 loops with beige thread and knit with the front stitch. In every 4th row, bind off 1 stitch on both sides 5 times, bind off the remaining 2 stitches.
Step 16
Sew the details, stuff the toy with cotton wool or foam crumbs. Make the tail and tassels on the ears from faux fur and sew on eye buttons. Your squirrel is ready.
