Step 1
The festival appeared thanks to Valery Gergiev, who originally conceived it as a present to St. Petersburg from the soloists of the Mariinsky Theater. The first Stars of the White Nights were accepted by the public with great enthusiasm, which is why the project has become an annual event, and its timeframe has been expanded (if initially it was about ten days, now the duration of the festival reaches three months).
Step 2
If you would like to become a spectator of the festival, but do not live in St. Petersburg, you will first have to get to the northern capital. You can go to St. Petersburg by train, plane or bus, depending on what you think is the most comfortable and convenient in price.

In addition, you need to take care of where you will live during the festival. To rent an apartment, you can use the services of real estate agencies, which, for a certain commission, will select an acceptable housing option for you. But it is better to carry out this procedure in advance before the start of the festival, otherwise you may face an increase in prices for both rental and services of the company. There is another option - you can often meet people renting out apartments at railway stations. Or, if you can afford it, use the services of the hotel.

All events of the Stars of the White Nights festival are held either in the building of the Mariinsky Theater, located at Teatralnaya Square, 1, or in a concert hall recently donated to the theater, which is located on Dekabristov Street, 37. Entrance tickets range from 400 to 4000 rubles.
